Welcome 2021 Board
We are pleased to announce our board of directors for 2021. NeighborWorks Western Pennsylvania recently elected Barãta Arabo Bey as board president (LEFT). Bey is vice president and community development officer with Huntington National Bank. For the past two years, he has served as our board vice president, and succeeds Jason Tigano, Responsive Community Partners, who will continue on the board as immediate past president. Jeaneen Zappa, The Energy Efficiency Alliance, will serve as vice president, and Laura Swiss, PNC, will continue as treasurer.
The board's executive committee is welcoming its newest member, Lindsay Powell, who will serve as secretary. Powell, a board member since 2018, is assistant chief of staff for Mayor William Peduto. Other board members continuing their service are Pat Clark, Jackson/Clark Partners; Bridget Daley, Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney; Alex Heit, VISIMO; and Mónica Ruiz, Casa San José.

Thank you, board members, for giving your time and expertise to our organization. Learn more about our board on our website.
In the Press: Foreclosure Prevention
The Northside Chronicle, the community newspaper of Pittsburgh’s Northside, recently interviewed Colin Kelley, CEO of NeighborWorks Western Pennsylvania, about the role of housing counselors' important role in preventing foreclosures. “Whether someone is current on their mortgage or foreclosure is just around the corner, it’s never too early or too late to reach out for help,” Kelley said. Read the article in the November issue of the newspaper.
Upcoming Workshops

During the one-hour virtual class, you’ll learn about the types of mortgage loans and costs, how much money you really need at closing, and the ways non-profit housing counselors can help you navigate the home purchase process. Bring your homebuying questions!

Please note: This workshop does not provide a certificate of completion. If you need to earn a Homebuyer Education Certificate to satisfy a loan requirement, please contact us to discuss options.
