TOMORROW | Theodore Johnson: Overcoming Racism and Renewing the Promise of America on Thursday, March 31 @ 7pm ET via Zoom

Despite maddening contradictions, I love America. I simply cannot help it…there is an undeniable and admirable strength in a nation that slowly but steadily groans toward the incorporation of those it used to exclude.

“We can be different and united—the value of the American experiment
is contingent on the truth of this proposition.”

—Theodore Roosevelt Johnson III

We hope you'll grab some yummy food and put on your best fuzzy slippers to hang out with us tomorrow night at 7 pm ET via Zoom for a program that we think will be enlightening, healing—and probably even a little surprising—as Dr. Theodore Johnson of NYU's Brennan Center for Justice invites us to join him on a path we can walk together toward healing our racial wounds. Tired of talking about race? This is the program for you.  Talk about race all the time? Same thing.  Dr. Johnson is someone we think you should know.

Annual Tallahassee Town Hall
Monday, April 18, 5:30-7:30 pm, WFSU Studio

There’s nothing more quintessentially American than a town hall meeting. Within its ethos is the important founding principle that political foes must grudgingly become partners as they engage conflicting ideas in order to govern. It’s the old-fashioned spirit of rolling up our sleeves and just getting it done.

We hope you’ll join us for our Annual Tallahassee Town Hall Monday, April 18 at 5:30 PM in the WFSU studio.
Register to reserve your free seat.

Our annual town hall pairs commissioners from the City of Tallahassee and Leon County to have a constructive (and neighborly) cross-governmental discussion about where we are, where we’re going, and what the challenges on the horizon might be. Once again, the discussion will be facilitated by former Tallahassee Democrat Publisher and Founder of Hammerhead Communications, Skip Foster, – and powered by Leadership Tallahassee.

Register to reserve your Town Hall seat before they're gone.
