Dear One,

Not too long ago I had a lot of big ideas for this summer. I was swept up in the excitement of our world opening up again, and opportunities to gather IN PERSON and DO THINGS together!

And then, I paused.
And I sat with my heart, and I listened.
I realized that outward expansion is not where I am right now. In fact, I am utterly exhausted, on multiple levels. And before I rush into whatever is next, I need time to process what came before.

This is an essential part of my work as an artist.

. . .

And so, this summer I am announcing .... NOTHING.
No festivals, no new releases, no shows, no singing circles, no events.

I am organizing my house, and visiting with friends & family (and HUGGING THEM!!) I am reading (things like THIS and THIS), and meditating, playing music, and spending time in nature.

I made a little VIDEO explaining this and more, which I'd love for you to watch.

I will note, I am not pausing on ALL things: I continue teaching private music lessons (voice, guitar, songwriting ~ so sweet, so nourishing), and also sharing my creations and inspirations regularly on Patreon. These practices are at the core of my work in the world right now, and I am so grateful for them.
