We've improved

We want to make the best it can be for you so we've spent some time improving it.  This new site has easy to use navigation,  clear explanations about our products  and member focused pages.

We’ve got a new video too...

As part of the website improvements, research has shown that people are looking to use videos more than ever so we’ve created a new video that simply shows you how to update your device. You can find this on our Support page. We will be releasing other helpful videos over the next 6 months.

What's happening in the industry?

We like to keep you up to date with what's happening in the industry – and  today we're going to focus on average speed cameras. These cameras measure the average speed of drivers over a stretch of road so  stop speeders evading detection by braking just as they approach the camera.

One particular hot spot is 11 miles of the A40 in West London, England where 32 average speed cameras have been placed.  Over 1,300 drivers have been caught there since they were installed in October, which should total well over £100,000 in fines. The Cheetah C550 gives you an alert before average speed cameras.

In terms of safety, Transport for London (TFL) has said that the cameras on this stretch of road alone would  prevent 31 deaths or serious injuries over the next three years.  TFL has said they plan for more average speed cameras later this year on the A406, A316 and A2.

And finally...

One woman in Chicago has amassed a whopping $30,000 for 89 speeding tickets and late fines.  Just as well you've got a safety system to stop this happening!

That’s it for this newsletter,  so from all at Cheetah – thanks for reading and we'll be speaking to you soon.

Safe driving
