Get ready for The Community Give next Tuesday, May 3rd!

The biggest day of online fundraising within our community is almost here. Please consider making a donation, anytime within 24 hours, from 12 am midnight to 11:59 pm EST.

With your gift of $25 or more, Empowerhouse is eligible to compete for up to $100,000 in cash prizes awarded throughout May 3rd, thanks to The Community Foundation and their sponsors.

This is the best opportunity to maximize your gift and do the most good for survivors of domestic violence!

Your donation through The Community Give directly helps families achieve their goals to be free from abuse now and in the future.

Survivors and their children are supported every step of the way through our emergency shelter, housing programs, and services offered in English and Spanish including our 24-hour hotline, court and health advocacy, and weekly support groups for women, teens, and children.

Empowerhouse in the Community

Through a grant with the Potomac Health Foundation, Empowerhouse has trained 52 healthcare providers in north Stafford to screen for intimate partner violence and refer their patients to Empowerhouse for domestic violence services.

By identifying survivors early on, healthcare providers serve as a crucial lifeline in connecting patients to Empowerhouse where they can receive ongoing help and support to improve their health and safety.

These partnerships ensure more survivors are aware of our services and are supported with the opportunity to seek help.
Aquia Dental Care participated in an Empowerhouse training on domestic violence.

They watched our 10 minute training film, Ask Me, to identify the signs of domestic violence and learn how Empowerhouse can help patients experiencing abuse.
