A BIG THANKS TO A VERY SPECIAL DONOR
For the past two years for his birthday, Avery Lohrman has asked his friends that, in lieu of birthday presents, they donate to Chintimini. This giving spirit is incredible to see in the young generations, and we're so grateful to Avery for all his help! You rock, Avery!
NOTABLE FEBRUARY PATIENTS
You can always check out our Facebook page for more pictures, videos and updates of patients!

Female Western Screech Owl - Collision with vehicle; still in our care.

Male Townsend's Big-eared Bat  - Roosting site disturbed; released. This is a very rare and sensitive species to our area, so we were happy to be able to help!

Male Rufous Hummingbird - Collision with window; released.

Male Juvenile Bald Eagle - Admitted after being electrocuted; due to the severity of his injuries, he had to be euthanized.

Thank you to the Benton County Sheriff's Office for rescuing this Barred Owl patient after a collision with a vehicle. Here is a short video of Deputy Seirup releasing the owl after 3 months of rehab at CWC.

Thanks again for your continued interest in and support of Chintimini Wildlife Center!

Sincerely,
Jeff Picton
Executive Director

BLOG UPDATES
Though She Be But Little, She is Fierce

Emily Nicholson, a Tuesday night shift leader and one of Chintimini’s guest bloggers, tells us all about some fierce pygmy owl patients recently admitted to CWC, and then released!  Read more about these little owls here!

VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT
Meet Jackie, our Volunteer Spotlight for March! Jackie is a volunteer on Saturday morning and has volunteered her time at CWC for the past two years. She is a third year vet student at OSU, and thinks CWC is way more fun than work! You're quite the rockstar, Jackie! Read more about her here!
THE BUSY SEASON IS COMING!
Baby season is quickly approaching at Chintimini, and it's our busiest time of year! There are many items that are very helpful to us during this time, such as fleece material, towels, sheets, baby wipes, wood shavings, and more. If you have an excess of any of these items and would like to donate them to the cause, please stop by our clinic and drop them off! You can also check out our Wish List to see additional items we always need. Any help is appreciated!

**We also always are in need of wicker baskets 15 inches or greater in width for our owl renesting program. If you have anything of the sort, give our clinic a call to set up a time to bring them in!
