I want to wish every ARi associate a warm and hearty congratulations. ARi hosted its 2016 holiday party this December. Employees came together for an evening of food, drinks, and games.Below are some pictures from the celebration and the years of service recipients.
ARi seized the opportunity to build a HIL (Hardware in the Loop) Lab that will allow us to run simulation modeling equipment and software for a wide band of applications. This allows us to utilize such equipment as dSPACE Electronics, GT Power, and OEM Specific software. With its physical location, within in the same building as the Engine Test Cells we can start rapid prototyping/Testing on all engine configurations.
This year ARi increased its capacity for testing by building a large engine test bed. This bed is designed to hold up to 10,000 HP Engines. It is adaptable from both sides and will allow for a Hoffman Dyno or Generator. ARi’s Engineering and Fabrication team have always came up with our own style of cart system to hold engines from 300 HP up to 5,500 HP to suit our test cells. When dealing with larger engines a greater attention to detail and vibrations are to be taken in consideration. Not mentioning the 40 - 70,000 LB + Weight differential
As the market fluctuates so does the need for R&D. This being one of the lowest periods for R&D it has taken effect on business. However, as the need for core engine development has been down the need for technology and innovation has been on the rise. This spinning off some of our departments into other areas. The need for harness’s and prototype fabrication have steadily increased through the year pushing ARi to build its own harness lab. This area is much more than just a room to build harness’s its allow ARi’s potential to rise. We are now able to service our customer turn key. Say a new electronic component is developed. What does it connect to, does it connect? We are now able to join with an OEM or Manufacturer to take a concept and develop a full life cycle. We are staffed with the ability to CAD model, FEA, FMEA, Prototype Build, Test. Along with that we can also fabrication the enclosure or structure to be mounted with integrated connectors. Wireless? ARi also have the ability to utilize wireless capability, create a display, app, and even connect it remotely.
