HAPPY FRIDAY!
I am totally in love with Rome! This ancient and magical city has seduced me.
HAVING A LOVELY TIME
After relaxing in Tuscany, our week in Rome has been about enjoying the peace of the city, walking along the river, enjoying amazing shopping, the beautiful weather, and the truly delicious food.
THE RIVER TIBER
What’s not to love about a city filled with delicious food, fabulous coffee, and sublime gelato?!
SANT'IGNAZIO CHURCH
There are four classic Roman pasta dishes: Cacio e Pepe, Carbonara, Amatriciana, and Alla Gricia. We’ve loved trying them!
NOTHING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT HERE!
I’m especially crazy about Trastevere and Campo dei Fiori.
THE PANTHEON
Rome is a city inhabited by locals, and it has a certain urban grit. I love that I can fly direct from Chicago.
ROME HAS SO MUCH TO APPRECIATE
It’s a magical place with such a uniquely rich culture.
DELIGHTED WITH ALL THE STEPS
It's been the perfect bookend, after the relaxation of Tuscany, to have Rome be the beautiful dessert of our trip.
We got to spend a glorious weekend with my friends Michael and Marc, and we’re just getting into winddown mode.
CATCHING UP WITH MY FRIEND MICHAEL IN ROME
It’s truly been an amazing adventure! Rome has captivated me, and I can hardly wait to return.
SO LONG, ROME!
DAVIDE WAS A FANTASTIC TOUR GUIDE
One of my very favorite things while in Rome was taking a tour with Davide Bello, along with Gray Line Rome. We created a delightful three-hour custom combination of a cultural walking tour filled with fantastic street food. Simply the best. If you’re coming to town, a walking tour is a great way to get acclimated to this city and learn a lot in a really enjoyable way.
