Summer has arrived - and how!

Ready or Not, Summer's Here!

Our plans for summer fun here at Spellbinder are underway.  Perhaps most excitingly, we're happy to be moving forward in our partnership with Janette Bachman and her new Pupfish Cafe behind the store ... I almost feel like many of our upcoming events should be announced in tandem.

For instance, with the new cafe open, starting this June the bookstore is experimenting with opening earlier - at 9 instead of 10 - on weekdays.  We're also adding hours on Sundays, from 10-2.  If you like these hours and find them convenient, please let us
know!  We'll be able to keep them - or maybe even add to them - if we see that your support allows us to cover our costs.

There'll be more to come that's already in the works, but I did want to let you know about the following events that we already have on the books, so to speak!

June 22nd, 6pm
Live Music at the Pupfish!

Do you remember this face?  Almost 5 years ago, we welcomed Fleur Jack on her first trip to the U.S.  Well, lots of miles have gone by since then, but long story short, she's coming back!  This time, she's bringing along mandolin player, singer, and husband Wesley Wood. You'll love their soulful blend of what we thought we'd call "Kiwi-Flavoured Americana"!

The Pupfish will be offering a special menu starting at 6pm; if you haven't stopped by yet it'll be the perfect time to try their delicious nosh for a light pre-show dinner.

You can check out the band on their web site: http://www.thewlovers.com/, and we'll see you at the show!
The Pupfish Cafe opened to rave reviews over the holiday weekend!  We'd like to invite you to come on down to be greeted by their friendly faces and to try their delicious food and drinks.  I'm working my way through the menu and everything I've tried so far is great!  They're open Tues-Sat 7am-3pm and Sun 8am-2pm.  For more info., visit their web site: http://www.pupfishcafe.com/
If you're noticing this email looks different, you're right!  We're looking at changing our e-newsetter platform from Constant Contact to MailChimp.  Both services provide excellent subscriber privacy, but MailChimp offers us the opportunity to economize quite a bit over what we were spending with Constant Contact.  If you have any questions, please let me know!  -Lynne
