Gardens Rising RoundTable this Wednesday, February 24
Gardens Rising’s next Roundtable will take place Wednesday, February 24 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Neighborhood Preservation Center, located on 232 E.11th Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenues.
All interested parties are invited to participate.
Our roundtables feature experts, stakeholders and public in a brainstorming session to build nature-based and green infrastructure to increase permeability in the Lower East Side of New York City.
This week’s round-table features:
Bill LoSasso, the new director of GreenThumb,
Tessa Huxley, former Director of Battery Park City Parks Conservancy
Angelica Ramdhari, Program Manager, Here Comes Solar, Solar One
Gardens Rising is inspired in Super Storm Sandy, a project funded by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development through the NY Governor’s Office of Storm Recovery to control flooding in vulnerable city areas with nature-based infrastructure in our NYCCGC community gardens.
