Gardens Rising’s next Roundtable will take place Wednesday, February 24 from 6:30 to  8:00 p.m. at the Neighborhood Preservation Center, located on 232 E.11th Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenues.

All interested parties are invited to participate.

Our roundtables feature experts, stakeholders and public in a brainstorming session to build nature-based and green infrastructure to increase permeability in the Lower East Side of New York City.

This week’s round-table features:
Bill LoSasso, the new director of GreenThumb,
Tessa Huxley, former Director of Battery Park City Parks Conservancy
Angelica Ramdhari, Program Manager, Here Comes Solar, Solar One

Gardens Rising is inspired in Super Storm Sandy, a project funded by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development through the NY Governor’s Office of Storm Recovery to control flooding in vulnerable city areas with nature-based infrastructure in our NYCCGC community gardens.

Gardens Rising values everyone's participation in this project. We want to use the best of Citizen Science to collect needed data so decisions will be informed and correct. We would like to thank all the gardens who have collected and submitted important data. If your garden has not filled out the information please fill out this GARDEN QUESTIONNAIRE

We also need to measure the exteriors of your gardens.
Please use this link to enter the exterior measurement data asked in this survey.

f your garden or group needs a meeting space, we have one that can be made available at 428 E.10th St between Aves C & D.
If you know of interested parties who would like to receive forthcoming Gardens Rising information contact us.
