This year’s event is particularly special to me as this will be my last year at LASOC. I have had the privilege to serve this organization for the past 36 years as Executive Director. It’s been a challenging, humbling, and wonderful experience. I’ve seen our program grow into a multi-office organization that provides free legal services to 730,000 client-eligible people residing in our service areas: all of Orange County and southeast Los Angeles. It has been an honor to be one of the staff and be a part of our legal services community for all these years. Because of you, LASOC is able to make an impact in our community.
I thank you for being a supporter of our organization, and am asking, one more time, for you to join us as a sponsor at our Voices for Justice Dinner & Fundraiser. For the past 58 years our organization has worked tirelessly to bring equal access to justice to all. Every day, our client community faces civil legal issues and challenges that affect their livelihood. Each case has a compelling, individual story—and every day, our unrelenting, dedicated staff and volunteers assist over 200 clients, but we can do more.
Your support is needed more than ever. Can I count on you? Together with your help, we can increase stability in the lives of children and families, create new and innovative models to address the needs of the community, expand access to our justice system, and make an even greater long term impact in our community. Please take some time to review our sponsorship kit and consider how you would like to be a visible champion of our mission.
On behalf of LASOC and the Board of Directors,
Robert J. Cohen
LASOC Executive Director
