San Francisco-based CrowdFlower has announced their $10 million Series D round financing, and Promus Ventures participated in the round.

Microsoft led this new Series D round, with participation from Canvas Ventures and Trinity Ventures.

CrowdFlower is a service for corporate data scientists to help teams organize their data more effectively at scale. Customers include Google, Facebook, Twitter, eBay, MIT, Groupon, Home Depot and Pinterest.

CrowdFlower's service allows businesses to automatically perform data science tasks using artificial intelligence algorithms and machine learning, while bringing in human judgment to make the these algorithms smarter. The technology is opening up new use cases across numerous verticals, including medical imaging and self-driving cars.
