Euralarm President's Newsletter - #4 2016
Euralarm Newsletter

Dear reader,
I am delighted to introduce to you the new design of Euralarm’s President Newsletter, built to better answer the needs of our Members and the wider audience we want to reach. It has been rebranded as the 'Euralarm Newsletter' and I will now regularly invite our Members to contribute to the introduction .

Those are times of success for Euralarm: our efforts to have the first standard supporting high quality of service, EN 16763, has been adopted by a majority of the CEN/CENELEC states. Our industry has now a European Standard to define the service level that our customers are entitled to expect and which our Members are already delivering. We were able to demonstrate unity and determination to lead our efforts to success.

We have also demonstrated our capability to influence the European Standardisation Framework. Many concepts included in the 2014 Euralarm Briefing ‘Market Driven Standardisation’, a document that had been criticised for its ‘revolutionary ideas’, have now been taken over by the EU Commission/Industry Joint Initiative on Standardisation and are discussed within the Initiative’s steering group .

I wish to thank to all the delegates and experts which have contributed to the success of these two Euralarm priorities in the last years.

I wish you a good reading!
Enzo Peduzzi,
President Euralarm
