 TFA Takes Us to Church

You've admired their beauty, but do you know their stories? The historical churches and cathedrals in Downtown Tulsa's Cathedral District are the focus of Tulsa Foundation for Architecture's monthly walking tour this Saturday, November 12th! Here is your chance to take a peek inside many of them. The first tour starts at 10 AM from Foolish Things Coffee CoGrab tickets quickly, as TFA tours are known to sell out!

TFA Second Saturday Tours feature a different historical area or topic each month. Tulsa has a rich architectural heritage, and TFA — located right here in Downtown — is passionate about sharing their knowledge.

If Downtown dwellings are more your style, check out TFA's self-guided tour of three distinctive, historical apartment buildings on Sunday, November 13th, at Vandever Lofts.

Thank a U.S. Veteran This Week

Make plans to cheer on our veterans! Attend the Tulsa Veterans Day Parade, a centuries-old tradition in Downtown Tulsa, on Friday, November 11th.

The parade starts at 11 AM from VFW #577 and will wind through Downtown. Great viewing spots include 3rd Street between Boulder and Cincinnati, Boulder between 3rd and 7th streets, and 6th between Boston and Frankfort. Be aware of street closures, which will be posted here.

 Be a 'Tulsa King'

You're invited! Join the Tulsa Office of Film, Music, Arts & Culture, along with the Tulsa Regional Tourism family, for Tulsa's own "Tulsa King" Watch Party & Celebration on Sunday, November 13th, at 4 PM at the Cox Business Convention Center Tulsa Ballroom. Admission is free, and there will be complimentary parking, food, drinks, and a cash bar. We will toast to Tulsa and celebrate another historic moment for our region and state's growing film industry. Bring a friend!

 Getting in the Holiday Spirit

Last week's jolly announcement of Tulsa's Downtown Days of Wonder got the attention of local media outlets, including TV news and the Tulsa World! is looking very merry with the addition of many local holiday events kicking off this month, and you can look for more festive fun to be announced soon. Local businesses, be sure to add your Downtown event here!
