 That First Friday Glow

Guthrie Green is spreading holiday cheer in the Tulsa Arts District with its annual Lights On: Glow on the Green! This free and festive event presented by OU Health will kick off the holiday season as Guthrie Green is illuminated by thousands of lights on Friday, December 2nd, from 6-9 PM.

Lights On: Glow on the Green will feature a holiday market with over 35 local arts and crafts vendors, live music from local bands, free photos with Santa and his elves, and more festive fun for all ages! Plus, News on 6 Chief Meteorologist Travis Meyer will lead the countdown to the lights being turned on at 7:15 PM!

There are many other First Friday festivities planned for this week in the Tulsa Arts District. See you there!

Downtown Tulsa Partnership is looking for its first Marketing & Experience intern for the Spring 2023 semester! Duties will include social media management, blogging, and event planning, and support. This is a paid position that requires officing in-person in Downtown Tulsa. Applicants must be students studying Marketing or a related field. They must have their own reliable transportation and be available to work at least 12 hours per week.

 Holiday Art in the Park

Let the Guthrie Green fun continue! On Saturday, December 3rd, from 6-9 PM, the Green will transform into a hometown holiday celebration of the arts. Art in the Park Holiday Festival serves to introduce children of all ages to live arts experiences in an informal, family-friendly atmosphere encouraging them to forge a connection with the arts and their hometown.

Enjoy live performances, hands-on activities, giveaways, complimentary holiday snacks and beverages, photo opportunities with beloved characters, and so much more to make a brighter holiday for all. 

Arts Alliance Tulsa is reimagining what a fundraising event can be. Galas are grand, and Tulsa has a lot of them. But, not everyone in our community can attend. We love seeing our art community flourish.

 Goff Ball, Architecture Tours, and More

Downtown Tulsa just loves celebrating the arts! Goff Fest is BACK, celebrating the life and work of Oklahoma's unconventional architect Bruce Goff. A 1951 Life Magazine article called Goff "one of the few U.S. architects whom Frank Lloyd Wright considers creative." Join the fun at various venues December 1st-4th to learn more about Goff's organic and eccentric designs for buildings and homes in and near Downtown Tulsa.

 Look Mom, We're on TV!

Downtown Days of Wonder, which includes our new Pop-Up Shop Program, has been featured by FOX, KOTV, ABC, Tulsa WorldBlack Wall Street Times, and more. We are on a mission to bring holiday cheer back to Downtown Tulsa via light displays, events, and local shopping.
