Building Stronger Towns

Charles Marohn, professional engineer and founder of the Strong Towns movement, lifts the curtain on America’s transportation system in his newest book, Confessions of a Recovering Engineer. Marohn will be in Tulsa to present his book on Wednesday, August 31st, at the Tulsa Central Library from 4:30 - 6:30 PM!

In this book tour presentation, Marohn demonstrates how the values of engineers and other transportation professionals are applied in the design process, and how those priorities differ from the values of the general public. Attendance is free to the public, but registration is requested! There is an option to purchase the book in advance. 

 Laughing like a Blue Whale

The Blue Whale Comedy Festival is back back in the Tulsa Arts District with a mission to put Tulsa on top of the national comedy map. By bringing over 200 comedy acts to Tulsa over the past six festivals, Blue Whale has continued to introduce local talent to some of the most gifted and successful acts in the country, creating opportunities for local comedians to expand their craft beyond Oklahoma.
