Champagne Bourgeois-Diaz Cuvée N   Retail $100        SPECIAL $67.00
Cuvée N « Blanc de Noirs » is a blend of black grape varieties : 37% Pinot Noir, 63% Meunier, 45 % vinified in oak barrels. 2014 harvest. Dosage 0g/l. Pinot from "Les Biens Aimées" vineyard planted in the sixties in Nanteuil-sur-Marne and 63% Meunier from vineyards in Crouttes-sur-Marne. Beautifully structured with body and minerality. The N has classic red fruit body and muscle with the oak adding some precise minerality and spice.

Champagne Bourgeois-Diaz Cuvée M   Retail $112     SPECIAL $75.00
Cuvée M « 100 % Meunier » is a blend of the best Meunier from the 2014 harvest. 35 % in oak barrels. Dosage 0 g/l. From a vineyard in Villiers-Saint-Denis planted in 1960 and from vineyards in Crouttes-sur-Marne with an average vine age of 40 years. All vineyards are planted on limestone-rich clay over limestone. Here we see a similar structure as the N, with some extra width and a hint of  fruit cake that I adore with Meunier. Classic. Meunier is no longer the poor cousin in the trilogy of grape varieties. With sensitive viticulture, and appropriate vineyard selection and yields, it can deliver breath-taking complexity, weight, minerality, acidity, finesse and elegance.

Champagne Voirin-Jumel Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru.      Retail $75    SPECIAL $50
Based on 2014 with 20% reserve wines, from Cramant, Chouilly, Avize and Oger. Dosage 6g/litre. The Chardonnay terroir speaks, Chiseled and steely, with citrus and minerals, hints of white fruits and floral. Very precise and elegant as always and excellent value. The creaminess of the Cramant component sets the tone for a fine and elegant Champagne.

Champagne Voirin-Jumel Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Vintage 2010.      Retail $90   SPECIAL $60
The 2010 vintage is a real success for the top growers in the Cote des Blancs - and Patrick Voirin has really delivered a precise mineral champagne. I see some similarities with 2008 at this property. Hugely mineral with real purity and amazing elegance. Dosage is 4g/litre and the malolactic fermentation is blocked. Fermented and aged in stainless steel tank. Purer and finer than the 2009 vintage wine.

Champagne Lilbert Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Perle NV     RETAIL  $108.00       SPECIAL $72.00
65% 2013, 35% reserve wines 2009-10-11. Dosage 5g/l. From a rigorous old vine selection. Perle is the demi-mousse lower pressure
cuvee. Regular Champagnes are bottled at 6 atmospheres of pressure, and we see lower pressure versions at 4 atmospheres. The lower pressure delivers a more elegant, purer mouth-feel. The finesse and minerality is enhanced with the consumer being none the wiser. Lemon/citrus/chalk in spades with smoky overtones.

Champagne Stéphane Coquillette Cuvée Les Clés Blanc de Noirs    Retail $81.00   SPECIAL  $54.00
Grand Cru from Aÿ, yes 100% Pinot Noir. Mostly from vines planted in 1960.  Dosage 5 g/l. The subtle red fruits are subtle, and we get some classic funkiness I associate with Aÿ Pinot. 100% 2013 with no reserve wines. Ridiculously delicious Grand Cru Pinot from old vines Aÿ at a bargain price. Anything from Aÿ is expensive! And this is in effect a vintage wine. Bargain.

Champagne Stéphane Coquillette Cuvée By Louis Vintage 2010 Brut Zero      Retail $142.50   SPECIAL $95.00
100% Pinot Noir from a blend of best parcels of Aÿ and Mareuil-sur-Aÿ. Zero dosage. This is the tete de cuvée extra-ordinaire. Subtle floral and citrus aromas lead to a vinous, mineral palate with hints of almonds, red fruits and brioche. Hugely complex and palate staining. The zero dosage is totally transparent. and the subtle wood integration enhances the saline minerality.  This Champagne behaves like a wine and needs time in the glass to open up and expand. Certainly a candidate for opening a few hours in advance and having time to breath - like all fine wine. All the components are in perfect balance. Fermented in tank and aged in oak for 9 months. This cuvée is named after the son - Louis.

Minimum purchase 6 bottles. Email me your wish list.

regards
