CABC in Action
At the 8th ASEAN Economic Ministers(AEM)-Canada Consultation (Sept 10, Bangkok, Thailand), CABC welcomed the conclusion of the exploratory discussions for a possible ASEAN-Canada Free Trade Agreement. As the voice of the Canadian private sector, CABC connects businesses and the governments of Canada and ASEAN for a prosperous shared future.
On September 25, CABC was invited to be part of the C.D. Howe Institute bi-annual International Economic Policy Council Meeting. CABC President Mr. Wayne Farmer gave a presentation on the growth of the Canada-ASEAN partnership and opportunities in a potential FTA. We are encouraged to see increasing interest and support for Canada to boost its engagement with ASEAN.

CABC joined the 3rd ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) Dialogue with the Private Sector on October 3-4 in Jakarta, Indonesia. CABC explored ways to enhance Canada-ASEAN collaboration in areas including a potential FTA, agriculture, healthcare, and digital trade.
