CABC in Action
At the 8th ASEAN Economic Ministers(AEM)-Canada Consultation (Sept 10, Bangkok, Thailand), CABC welcomed the conclusion of the exploratory discussions for a possible ASEAN-Canada Free Trade Agreement. As the voice of the Canadian private sector, CABC connects businesses and the governments of Canada and ASEAN for a prosperous shared future.
On September 25, CABC was invited to be part of the C.D. Howe Institute bi-annual International Economic Policy Council Meeting. CABC President Mr. Wayne Farmer gave a presentation on the growth of the Canada-ASEAN partnership and opportunities in a potential FTA. We are encouraged to see increasing interest and support for Canada to boost its engagement with ASEAN.
