Amongst all the scary news that CO2 levels have surpassed 415 ppm, a million species are facing extinction and oceans are being choked by plastic and toxic pollution, there are rays of hope. Individuals, governments and corporations are stepping up to take bolder action.

We’ll see the National Historic Registered Folger Stable designed by famed architect of SF War Memorial Opera House & Ferry Building, and stroll 4.5miles on Bear Gulch, Meadows, & Alambique Trails. Watch out for deer, rabbits, or lizards, & listen for wrentits, woodpeckers, & Steller's jays!

Free Workshop on Native Plant Landscaping

Homeowners who want to replace their thirsty lawns with low-water native plants are invited to a hands-on workshop with landscape architect Juanita Salisbury on Wednesday, May 22, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Burlingame Public Library, 480 Primrose Road.
The program, Design Your Own Native Plant Landscape,” is presented by the Citizens Environmental Council of Burlingame. It is cosponsored by the City of Burlingame and is funded by the Bay Area Water Supply and Conservation Agency
Admission is free, but attendance is limited to 50 people.
