THE BEACH IS ABUZZ!
MIAMI BEACH WILL GLAMOROUSLY TAKE CENTER STAGE THIS SEASON FOR A PAIR OF STAR-STUDDED LUXURY EVENTS

Make room, Art Basel.  From high-jumping equestrians to high-end interior designs, billions will be on display this spring season in Miami Beach…and once again, the world will be watching.

From April 7-9, 200 of the globe’s top horses and riders -- including Olympic, World and Continental Champions -- will descend on the area’s sandy white shores for the first leg of the 2016 Longines Global Champions Tour (LGCT) series, competing for unprecedented prize money. The Grand Prix show jumping competition is one of the most explosive and exciting competitions of any equestrian series, spanning 15 international cities and starting in Miami (which will double as the tour’s only North American stop). It’s a point of pride to additionally announce that Give a Buck for Special Equestrians -- founded by Sissy DeMaria, who also co-founded WorldWise PR Affiliates -- has been named as LGCT Miami Beach’s charitable partner.

And next month, interior design exhibition MAISON&OBJECT Americas will set up shop in Miami Beach, showcasing an exclusive selection of 300 high-end industry brands, along with standout designers and experts from around the world.  Taking place May 10-13, the second-annual edition of the elite summit-- which stems from the venerated, two-decades-old Paris-based trade show-- will be a melding of the creative minds and a vibrant display of top talents and luxury designs.  Adding to the significance of this year’s show is its new Miami-based director, Gaston Isoldi, who will spearhead the four-day event and look to capitalize on the success of last year’s inaugural exhibition…all while leveraging the City of Miami -- a burgeoning metropolis for art and design -- as its backdrop.

ARGENTINA LAUNCHES U.S. TOURISM CAMPAIGN
AIMS TO ATTRACT HALF A MILLION TOURISTS FROM THE U.S. BY 2019

The first visit of a U.S. president to Argentina in 20 years has left some agreements between both governments, including in the tourism sector. As a first step, the Argentine government is focusing on entering the visa waiver system and has resolved to suspend the collection of the reciprocity fee from U.S. passport holders who visit the country for less than 90 days, whether for tourism or business purposes. Gustavo Santos of the Tourism Minister's Office said that they aim "to reach half a million U.S. tourists by 2019, a 60 percent increase on arrivals from those recorded last year."

A report by the Ministry of Tourism of the Nation realized that the growth potential is already being seen. In the first two months of this year, U.S. arrivals to Argentina increased 8.3 percent compared to the same period in 2015, according to the records of Migration.

In addition, Santos conveyed that -- coinciding with the visit of President Barack Obama to Buenos Aires and Bariloche and to leverage its media impact—Argentina has launched a tourism promotion campaign in major U.S. cities.

The Ministry of Tourism of the Nation’s report points out that the United States is a strategic target due to the high level of tourist’s spending money in the market, particularly in Buenos Aires, which is a popular destination because of its culture. The report also reveals, among other things, that the American tourist spends an average of $1,459 for a two-week stay, one out of four tourists visit for business reasons, 44 percent stay in four and five star hotels, a similar percentage performed food and wine related online searches and 28 percent performed tango related activities.
