Moonlight Tales - Distance Separates Us, Kindness Brings Us Together

“Kindness” is the theme of this year’s free, annual Moonlight Tales storytelling event, which will be held online this year. Enjoy curated stories from national storytellers, including traditional Appalachian folktales and music by Adam Booth, bilingual English/Spanish stories from Carrie Sue Ayvar and Dr. Joel Ying’s mix of world folk tales and personal stories.

- Good Times: The classic 1970s TV series featuring Esther Rolle.
- A Raisin in the Sun: Esther Rolle stars as Ruth, the Younger family matriarch, in this 1989 TV adaptation of Lorraine Hansberry's 1959 Broadway play.
- Rosewood: In this 1997 historical drama from director John Singleton, Esther Rolle plays the memorable role of Aunt Sarah, a Black woman murdered during the Rosewood Massacre of 1923.

Log into your account using your library card and PIN (last four digits of the phone number attached to library card account), click on the “Fines” tab and scroll down to the “Make Payment” button.
