Looking for a volunteer opportunity? Join our Elmwood Unity Walk!

Elmwood Unity Walk is a new community walking patrol that aims to provide a safer and cleaner neighbourhood for all residents, and to reduce potential harm that can affect at-risk individuals in the community, while providing a positive presence in the Elmwood area.

Elmwood Unity Walk will begin its patrols on Thursday, Nov. 24 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

If you wish to volunteer, please arrive at 180 Poplar Avenue 15 minutes ahead of the walk time.

Do you need funding for a community project in the Chalmers neighbourhood? Good news! We are still accepting Small Grants Fund Applications
Who qualifies?

• Local groups and organizations within the Chalmers neighbourhood area
• Organizations who reside outside these areas but provide services within the Chalmers community

Eligible projects must contribute to 'community connecting' and address at least one of the following:

• Capacity Building (outreach activities such as consultations, newsletters, and neighbourhood meetings)
• Stability (beautification activities such as murals, community gardens, and clean-ups)
• Well-being (social and recreational activities such as festivals, after school activities, and support groups)
• Economic Development (skill building activities such as home repair or personal development workshops and volunteer development)
