This wonderful program for 0-5 year-olds and their parents/caregivers is offered in our neighbourhood at no cost. It is easy to join, because TIE Tykes has a regular drop-in schedule held at three near-by locations. Simply stop in for a visit and learn more about up-coming activities.

This October, TIE Tykes rented a bus for everyone to attend a field trip on a farm outside of the city. The group enjoyed this fun and free field trip! TIE Tykes also held a clothing swap. families could simply picked-up or drop off snowsuits and clothing to keep cozy!  These programs and many more can be found on their calendar, or by stopping by TIE Tykes! Youth Enjoy After School Programs in the Neighbourhood!

The Youth in Elmwood Arts and Recreation  (YEAR) Program  program offered by Elmwood Community Resource Centre is an after school drop-in program providing youth with a supportive, safe place to learn and grow, featuring multi-cultural teaching as well as arts and crafts, nutrition, recreational activities and life skills training.

YEAR’s main goal is to keep the youth (age 12-17) involved in our community. They strongly believe when a person feels good about themselves and their achievements and that it will  encourage them to make informed and positive life choices.  Self-esteem is essential in a youth’s life and the YEAR program aims to build their self -esteems with a lot of encouragement, positive role modelling, and mentoring.
