Shamrock Run: Registration is Open

3.6.21 to 3.21.21

We're hosting a virtual event this year and it's free! Choose either the 5K or 10K. The Shamrock Run kicks off the spring racing season and a virtual race is great motivation for training. If that's not enough, do it for the pint glass!

President's Notes

by Dave Coppock

Welcome to February 2021! I’m sure we’re all happy to see 2020 behind us. Moving into the second month of the new year, I’ve been looking for hopeful, running related signs that we’ll have a better year than the previous one. So, I’ve listed my top four hopeful signs that running in 2021 will be a better year. Read More

Important Rim Runner Membership Changes

To maximize your benefits as a Yellowstone Rim Runner, we are changing how you sign up for the club this year. Club membership is no longer tied to registration for the Shamrock Run.

Here's how it works: You will receive a one-year membership from the date you sign up. Membership dues are $15 for an individual and $24 for a family, plus a processing fee.

If you joined last year during Shamrock Run, your current membership expires March 2021. No need to do anything now. We'll send you a reminder email with a link to renew your membership closer to that date so you don't miss out on all the great membership benefits.

New Year's Day Run 2021

Last month, Rim Runners celebrated the New Year with a morning run at Riverfront Park.

Financial Year in Review

Our 2020 year-end balance leaves us in a good position to offer all club activities in a year that we anticipate revenue to decline due to the pandemic.  Read More

Do You Have Old Newsletters?

Vince Long has been working hard to scan and upload historical newsletters to the website. If you have been a long time member and have some old newsletters, check out the list of issues we're missing. Email Vince and he'll get them scanned and uploaded.

Blast from the Past: Try this for Dinner

Hungry and looking for a healthy recipe? Try Renee' Coppock's delicious recipe for Baked Couscous with Spinach and Pine Nuts (page 2) featured in the July 2003 Newsletter. Vince Long came across this recipe last month while working on the newsletter project. He didn't have couscous, so he substituted quinoa, which worked well too.

Look! Dave's on TV

Some of you may have recently seen Billings TrailNet's public service announcement featuring our president, Dave Coppock, advocating for more trails in Billings. It was filmed back in 2019 (notice the snow!) and they estimated it would run for about two years. If you didn't catch it, view it here
