New Travel Collection Arrives

Huntley Film Archives received an incredible donation of 19 boxes of film this week. The collection comprises over five hundred 16mm films dating from the early 1930s up to the 1970s, many of which are glorious colour travelogues.  We’re pleased to be able to show you our first clip of the collection’s treasures here; ‘Australasian Tour Part 3’ (Feb 1966), which takes in views of Sydney Harbour and tantalising glimpses of the unfinished Sydney Opera House being built. From the 1936 Berlin Olympics to Bristol Zoo, tours across the cities of 1960's America to cruises in the Far East, keep an eye on our website as these films and many more from the new collection are digitised.
