Kennedy Road TT June 2, 2022
Today 13 riders came out to compete at Kennedy Road. The sun was shining, and the temperature was a very chilly 14C with a stiff west wind. On the podium in first place was Daniel Kalichman with an excellent time of 20:08.8, followed by JD Power at 21:22.1, and Yousef Nathoo at 21:32.6. Karen Paterson was the fastest woman at 24:19.9, and even better she edged out her husband Bruce by 14.6 seconds. Returning rider Evan Rousseau did his first TT in 30 years and came in at an excellent 26:18.8. The results are posted below. Thanks to our volunteers: Scott Barbour, and Rick Clavir at the turn, and Lisa Zalewski spotting the incoming riders. Lisa has an excellent memory as she calls out each rider’s numbers which makes entering the data so much easier. The volunteers make the TT’s possible.
Next Tuesday the 15 km.TT is at Kennedy Road. The following Saturday it is at Kennedy Road, and we will be turning at the 9 kilometre mark. This is an practice run for the 36/18 km Championships. We had to shorten the course due to very busy dump truck traffic at the Rice Yard.
The schedule under the sign in sheet has been revised. and please refer to it for TT locations. Also note that there is only 1 start time at 9:00 AM as Covid mandates have eased. We will stay with the fastest riders going first, and a 1 minute separation to reduce passing of slower riders. The results are posted below. No splits were taken this week.
