(Re-sent with links to minutes corrected)
On Tuesday, February 20, 2018, the 2017 Annual General Meeting for The Newmarket Eagles Cycling Club was held at The Little Brew Hops in Newmarket; twenty-eight (28) people were in attendance. The minutes of that meeting are attached and I encourage you to read them in full.

At the meeting we elected a new head of the Race Committee, Bob Spencer, who will be aided by XL Presidenté Anthony Osborne. Barrie Cracknell stepped up to replace Lou Montana ("Ride Beautifully") as Group Ride Coordinator. We also learned of a new program for all members, "My First Century" led by Sarah Grimes. This is an eight week training program for anybody who has never completed a 100 kilometer ride.

"The Eagles ride but it does run itself" (~ Andrew Darke) is very true. If I can use a couple of cycling metaphors, don't sit on the sidelines and watch the peloton roll by, clip-in and take a pull. Of particular note is the need for an organizer for the Inter-club races. Contact me directly if interested, otherwise we may have to pull out of this series of races. The minutes are punctuated with "Help needed" in several spots, take a look and help out, otherwise you may never know how amazing you can be.

So click the red icon below where it says "2017 AGM MINUTES", give the minutes a read and then take a supporting role. See you on the road soon, even if there is fresh snow on the ground while I write this.
