Bathurst Street Hill Climb - Tuesday September 8th
The second Hill Climb of 2020 took place on the famous Bathurst Street hill south of the Graham Side Road. It was a calm but cloudy overcast evening with at times a fine mist hovering in the air. The dense air undoubtedly impacted the riders' performance.
10 riders participated in the TT. In first place was Paul Belfry with an excellent time of 4:23.7. In second place was Alex Neyshtadt with a 4:36.5 edging out Peter Henry at 4:36.6. Sarah Grimes was the fastest lady with a fast time of 4:56.7, while a new rider Charlayne Szafranski was the second fastest woman with an excellent time 5:42.9. The results are posted below. A big thank you to Andrew Szafranski and Mike Grimes who handled the riders' departure.
We will be back at the Bathurst Hill Climb next week for the final Tuesday evening Hill Climb. The sunsets are getting earlier. Consequently the start time will be 6:00.
