McCpwan Road Time Trial - Tuesday August 20 Report
The last Club ITT was held at the McCowan Course. 16 riders competed on a clear sunny evening facing a brisk south wind on the return leg. Brian Kelly won the TT Bike Category with a time of 20:44.1. Peter Henry was second with a 21:04.5, and Zak Jackson came in at 21:47.9. In the Road Bike Category new rider Mike Rozalowsky was the winner at 25:04.0 followed by Paul Belfry at 25:44.9. Notably in third place was Andrew Darke making a return to time trialing with a credible 35:05.0. Yasmin Jackson riding solo on her TT bike did a time of 25:00.6, I promise you that Yasmin will be a lot faster next year. Our 84 year young founder Tony Osborne riding his TT bike without the benefit of electricity came in at 33:08.0. Time trialing is for everyone, next year give it a try, we need more road bike riders.
Thanks to our volunteers: Sarah Grimes as time keeper, with me and John Blunsdon at the turn. This year I did not recruit riders as "Voluntolds" as I had the support of Sarah Grimes, Tony Osborne, John Blunsdon, Andrew Edge, and Lisa Zalewski on a regular basis, and other volunteers from time to time. The results are posted below.
Barrie CC Interclub ITT
Next Tuesday at 7:00 PM the Interclub TT will be held on the Barrie CC course. It is a winding tree lined course on smooth pavement and very light traffic. It is on Ingram Road. A map is posted on our website under the Results section. It's worth the drive to north to Barrie!
