Attendees will engage in activities that will help them develop leadership skills, discuss the importance of advocacy, and investigate concepts surrounding AAPI identity.
Goals for the day may include:

*COMMUNITY - To build relationships amongst participants and strengthen community

IDENTITY - To learn about Asian Pacific Islander American (APIA) identity and how culture intersects with leadership. To explore how APIA’s negotiate different aspects of identity (class, sexuality, etc.)

EDUCATION FOR ADVOCACY – To learn about APIA community history, issues and current advocacy efforts to create positive change.

LEADERSHIP - To gain awareness and skills for leadership (for both building up our communities and coalition work)

COMMITMENT - To gain inspiration and make commitments for involvement in the APIA community
