"Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?"
"That depends a good deal on where you want to get to," said the Cat.
"I don't much care where—" said Alice.
"Then it doesn't matter which way you go," said the Cat.
"—so long as I get SOMEWHERE," Alice added as an explanation.
"Oh, you're sure to do that," said the Cat, "if you only walk long enough."
It's been an interesting time for me. Like other "what now" moments I've had in the past (What Now Part I, What Now Part II), I'm struggling through a transitory time and don't really know what's next.
I've been hopping around lately - I'm based in Atlanta but recently traveled to Seattle for a wedding and am currently hanging out in Baltimore for a bit.
Seattle was SO much fun. Amongst other activities, I spent a few hours wandering the most hipster farmer's market in all the land. Foraged mushrooms, raw goats milk, vegan kimchi, and a dog with a man bun all made an appearance.
I've also touristed around Atlanta a bit: I went to the Georgia Aquarium and was blown away (as usual) by how wonderful and entertaining it was.

I also went canoeing on the Chattahoochee for the first time and had my very own Pocahontas Just Around the River Bend moment.

Being unemployed has definitely had its perks, I can't deny that. But I would love to have more structure and responsibility in my life. And income, that would be good too. But I'm not sure which direction I want to go in yet.
My therapist recently showed me this personality test called the enneagram (you can take the free personality test here, but do check the official personality type descriptions after you get your results), and my results kinda changed how I think about my personal identity.
It said I'm a "Type 4": The Individualist. The character description paints me as temperamental and creative, seeking to know my identity and assert my uniqueness. Temperamental and identity-seeking sound about right. But I never, EVER thought of myself as a creative person.
I'm pretty much the least visual/spatial/design-oriented person on the planet.
But I realized writing this 'ol blog of mine and my singing are definitely creative pursuits and both are closely tied to my identity and maybe even my "purpose".
Also: I recently re-watched RENT on Netflix and was just feeling La Vie Bohème so hard. I want a life surrounded by beauty, and don't value the conventional path just for the sake of it being the normal and expected way of life. So I think it's time for me to embrace my bohemian side fully. Not sure how that's going to manifest but it's a thing.
