With all the excitement, Access Health CT wants to hear your real-time feedback. It’s important that we hear about such activities as soon as they occur, so that our team can work on a resolution.

2020 Certification Has Ended
We want to extend a huge welcome to all the brokers that completed their 2020 Certification. Whether you are a returning broker or just joining us for the first time- we are happy to have you!

Broker Portal Updates
Did You Know? As a Certified Broker, your contact information is available when customers use the “Get Help” search tool. 

Please log into your Broker Portal account and confirm that your contact information is correct and up-to-date!
To make changes to your Broker Portal profile just log in and follow the steps outlined below: 

1.    Click “Change Account Settings” under the quick links
2.    Then, review the information for accuracy
3.    Click “Update Contact information” to make changes
4.    Remember to hit the orange button labeled “Save” to record these changes.
Changes to Anthem's Provider Network Directory
As you know, we provide a link to ‘Search Providers’ at the Plan Details level of each Individual medical plan offered on our Consumer portal (screenshots below). This link brings the user to that plan’s network of providers on the Anthem website.  

For plan year 2019, this landing page displays the marketing name of the selected plan for the associated network.   For plan year 2020, this page will now display the network name of the selected plan, not the plan marketing name.   See 2020 and 2019 screenshots for the Anthem Catastrophic plan below for comparison.  

This is not an error, and while this landing page may no longer include the plan name, it does still bring the user to the correct network for that selected plan.

Renewal Notices
By now, customers should have received a letter (or email) from Access Health CT with information about renewing coverage their for 2020. 
This letter includes important information about their health coverage, next steps for renewing for 2020, and for many customers it will also include the name, monthly premium and estimated financial help for a 2020 plan that is similar to their current plan.
Frequently Asked Questions
Final renewals will be processed in the third week of November, and renewal notices should arrive to customers by December 1. 
Policy Update: Public Charge
The new Public Charge rule did not go into effect on October 15, 2019.  Click here to view some additional information from our team. 
 
Please know that the Public Charge rule does not include:
  • Asylees or refugees
  • Children in Medicaid or Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP)
  • Pregnant Women in Medicaid
  • Quality Health Plan (QHP) enrollees, or eligibility for subsidies (financial help) for QHP
REMINDERS
> Quicker Resolution: Please note that the Call Center may offer a more immediate resolution to issues such as:
  • Password Resets
  • Demographic Changes
  • General questions

> VCLs: When sending Verification documents for your clients, please review them for accuracy and that they are up-to-date. Any documents that are outdated will be denied and prolong issue resolution. 
Veterans Day Holiday
In honor of Veterans Day, our offices, Enrollment Locations and Call Center will be closed on Monday, November 11. We will be open again on Tuesday, November 12 from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Please plan accordingly!
