Dear <<First Name>>,
In this week's Parish Life:
- Gaudete Sunday
This Sunday we celebrate the third Sunday of Advent, also known as Gaudete Sunday. The term Gaudete refers to the first word of the Entrance Antiphon, "Rejoice". Rose vestments are worn to emphasize our joy that Christmas is near, and we also light the rose-coloured candle on our Advent wreath. Please consider wearing something pink or rose-coloured to Mass this weekend.
- Work of Human Hands
After a two-year hiatus due to the Covid situation, we will once again be holding our Work of Human Hands showcase after both Masses THIS weekend, where you will have the opportunity to purchase Christmas gifts that have been made with love and that are “the work of human hands”.
- Advent Appeal for Ukraine
The Advent Appeal for Ukraine will take place across parishes and churches in our diocese this weekend. All donations raised will support the work of Mudra Sprava (Wise Action), a Patriarchal Charitable Foundation in Ukraine There will be box located in the narthex to place your donations into as you leave the church after Mass.
Grace and peace,
Saint Paul’s
