Creekwatcher Currents: October 2017

Good afternoon, Creekwatchers! We have two sampling periods left this season, so that means it's time that we look ahead toward the End of Season festivities. For those of you who new to the program, EoS means: evaluation, kit return, and the End of Season Potluck (and the optional Day of the Secchis, if you're available).

You'll find the link to the potluck form, which includes questions about the potluck and kit return. Everyone should complete the form, regardless of whether you can attend the potluck or not.

I also have some information about a free conference some of you may be interested in attending below. Please note that you need to register by Friday, October 13.

Thanks, and Happy Creekwatching!

Celebrate our tenth year of Creekwatching and look forward to 2018! Join NWA staff, program friends, and fellow Creekwatchers to celebrate this milestone year. Spouses and significant others are welcome.

This is a potluck, so we ask that you bring a beverage, side, appetizer, or dessert. We will provide proteins and adult beverages.

For most of you, kit return will be most convenient at the potluck. However, those of you who drop off in Vienna should return your kit to the office on the final Creekwatching Monday.

All Creekwatchers should complete the form to let me know your potluck and kit return plans.
DE Nonpoint Source Pollution Conference
October 24-26 | FREE to attend

For those of you interested in learning more about a number of topics related to water quality and citizen science, check out the agenda for the DE Nonpoint Source Pollution Conference. The conference is free to attend and will be held in Rehoboth Beach. If you'd like to register and attend, click through to EventBrite.
I'll be speaking on first day of the conference (and that's the only day I'll be able to attend), but if you'd like to go and want to carpool on Tuesday, just let me know.

Register by Friday, October 13 to attend.
That's it for this month's Creekwatcher Currents! Thanks for reading.
