Seattle Fair Growth bringing timely issues that affect our community to your inbox

One Size Does Not Fit All!

The city of Seattle is proposing to increase height and bulk (upzones) in 27 Urban Villages throughout Seattle; including many single-family zones. This legislation will shape the future of the City for the next 20 years. The required Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) omits livability as a consideration, and the voices of the neighborhoods have been excluded.


For this reason, the Seattle Coalition for Affordability, Livability, and Equity (SCALE) has filed an appeal of the EIS.  Help us help you in our appeal of this unfair EIS of the Mandatory Housing Affordability program - a giveaway to downtown developers that will displace our most vulnerable citizens and eliminate the uniqueness of individual neighborhoods.  

We demand that the City offers substantial affordable housing, true accountability for the impacts on livability, and allows for honest neighborhood input!

Every dollar you donate, up to $9000 will be matched by SCALE members during this critical fundraising time.  Your cash donation will go for attorney fees and appeal expenses.
SCALE volunteers are contributing countless time and cash donations as well as thousands of dollars of un-billed professional hours, and will do more.

SCALE members are "all in."  We need your financial support for expenses that will run into tens of thousands of dollars. Each step along the way requires continuing financial support.
