Meet and Greet Book Signing with Local Author

Join us for a meet and greet book signing with local Branford author Tony Renzoni! Tony is the author of three books on Connecticut history, and he’ll be sharing and signing his two most recent titles with us on Saturday 9/18. Stop by the Blackstone Library any time between 12:00 and 4:00 to grab a book, chat with the author, and learn something new about two amazing women in Branford's history.

This exciting author event will also feature a special guest appearance by 
the great granddaughter of Nellie Green--Branford's most notorious bootlegger and the subject of Tony's latest book!

Connecticut Softball Legend Joan Joyce profiles the multifaceted career of one of the country’s greatest athletes and was recently adapted for the stage and performed at the Legacy Theatre in Stony Creek.



Connecticut Bootlegger Queen Nellie Green recounts the life and times of Branford’s own Nellie Green, set against the historical backdrop of the Prohibition era, the women’s movement and the Roaring Twenties.

About the Author:

 Tony Renzoni is a rock 'n' roll enthusiast. He has been an avid collector of over ten thousand vinyl records.  One of his hobbies  has been researching the national and local rock 'n' roll music scene, in Connecticut.  

     Tony had a thirty-eight year career with the Federal government.  As district manager in Connecticut's Fairfield County, he oversaw the operations of four field offices, serving over 100,000 beneficiaries. Tony wrote over one thousand weekly columns that were published in the Connecticut Post newspaper and on the Connecticut Post website.  Tony was a recipient of more than forty awards, including his agency's highest award.  

     A lifelong resident of Connecticut, Tony lives on the Connecticut shoreline with his wife, Colleen.  Tony Renzoni is a graduate of Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut.
