19th January 2019

Dear <<First Name>>,

Next weekend will be a busy one at the Club with something to suit everyone. One of the main attractions is our annual Burns Lunch on Sunday 27th. Full details of the menu and entertainment below but the main message is to get down to the Club today or tomorrow to buy your ticket.

We have a minimum number required to make this event viable so please do collect your ticket as soon as possible if you haven't done already. We need to let the caterer know on Monday if we are going ahead.

Also next weekend it's the first Club Quiz Night of 2019. It may be a new year but the format stays much the same this coming Friday. Please let Sheila or Elson know if you have a team so that we can sort out bar staff.

While the questions are flying in the main bar we will also be showing the Arsenal v Man Utd FA Cup tie in the Dining Room. Half-time sausage rolls are being provided by a kind benefactor for the football followers. Note it's a slightly unusual 7.55pm kick off.

Next Saturday our rugby team will be back at Rubislaw when they will play GHA who are currently sitting in third place in the table. There will be pies and sausage rolls in the oven if you're looking for a bite to eat before or after the game. Today Grammar Rugby are on the long road trip to Troon to play league leaders Marr - you can follow the game on their excellent Twitter feed.

Final note from me this week is that the bar will be closing a little earlier than usual on Monday 21st January at 8pm.
