Our first newsletter for a few weeks means there's lots to catch up on. While I was away the rugby team enjoyed a cup and league win and will round off their season (hopefully in style) tomorrow when the play Highland in the National League Cup Final in Stirling. You can read the Scottish Rugby match preview to get you in the mood.
The supporters bus is now fully booked so if you haven't already secured your place you will either need to make your own way down to Bridgehaugh or follow the game on the Rugby Club's live Twitter feed - it's nearly as good as being there!
We're all hoping for the right result and it would be great to see plenty of support back at the Club to welcome home the players and officials. The buses are expected to be back in Aberdeen at around 8.30pm.
Also in this update we have a news from our Petanque Section following their AGM last Sunday, the latest Big Draw results and a reminder that our April Quiz Night is next Friday.
Finally an important note on some changes to our opening hours. The main change is that we will be closing at 8pm on Mondays from next week. The bar staff continue to have discretion to change closing times in line with the prevailing bar trade on any evening.
Monday - 5pm to 8pm
Tuesday to Friday - 5pm to 10.30pm
Saturday - 12.30pm to 10.30pm
Sunday - 2pm to 8pm
April Quiz Night
Where will you be at 7.30pm on Friday 26th April? If the answer is "I'm not sure" then why not make it "I'll be at the Grammar Club Quiz Night". Dallas will be setting the brain teasers for our regular Quizzers next Friday and we are always happy to welcome new teams.
Entry is £8 per person including an Ashvale fish and chips, or £10 if you prefer something other than fish with your chips. If you've already had your tea then a mere £4 will be all you require.
At our recent AGM a unanimous decision was made by those present that we would withgo our annual membership fee and welcome everyone to join us on our competitions. This is due to the uncertainty of the existence of the Club Centre. Please make contact with Katie McDonald at firstname.lastname@example.org who will provide details of the relevant dates.
