Dear <<First Name>>,
A busy weekend at 86 Queens Road starting tomorrow evening when Gilly will be hosting another of her popular Gin Nights. The Ladies Hockey Club and their guests are very much looking forward to learning more about some quality gins. A good turnout is expected but our regulars will still be accommodated at the bar during the evening.
After a good few weeks away the rugby team are back on home turf when they entertain Hamilton on Saturday. Kick-off at Rubislaw is 3pm so you can take in the game and be back in the bar in good time for the Calcutta Cup. It's Sponsors Day so we're looking forward to a busy day at the bar.
The Six Nations comes to a conclusion on Saturday with everyone in action. Italy and France get the ball rolling at 12.30pm, followed by Wales v Ireland at 2.45pm. Finally it's England against Scotland, kicking off at 5.00pm. There will be free sausage rolls for everyone at half-time of the final game. Take your pick of the games, or come for them all, but we do hope to see you at some point on Saturday.
A couple of dates for your diary over the next couple of weeks. The next Club Centre Quiz Night is on Friday 29th March and the Cricket Club are hosting a Curry Night on Friday 12th April. Full details of both events, which are open to all members and their guests, in the next newsletter.
As is traditional at this time of year we have had notification of price increases from the brewers. We have absorbed the last few increases but we have had to make some small price increases this time around. Rest assured these have been kept to an absolute minimum.
Lastly this week a reminder that Al Ritchie's funeral is next Friday, 22nd March, at 1pm at Baldarroch Crematorium, and thereafter at the Club Centre from around 2.15pm.
