Albury Adventure Race

Sunday 4th December 2016
Hi <<First Name>>,

We are looking forward to welcoming you to the Albury Adventure Race on Sunday 4th December.

This is the first of our Winter Series of events and will have a bit of a Christmas feel. I can't promise any snow, but there is the option to get dressed up or wear a bit of tinsel for your <<Event>> <<Class>> <<Catagory>>. Albury Cricket Club is on the heath, South of Albury. The address is
Sandy Lane, Off of New Road, Albury Heath, Guildford, Surrey, GU5 9DB. The event registration will be in the Cricket Club, see map. There is plenty of parking in two car parks near to the club house.  It's not going to be a bad turn out with similar numbers to Bentley Copse, photos here

As mentioned in our last Navigator, we are offering 50% refund to anyone who introduces a new person to Tri-Adventure Events for the rest of this year. Please email with details to claim your reduced fee.

The weather

The early forecast indicates a dry week with a cold and overcast Sunday, I imagine the ground Will be less muddy than it has been. Keep an eye on the forecast and come well prepared for a chilly morning. I will be in touch again a bit closer to the time with an update.

Registration will be open from 08:30am in the cricket club house, Transition will be setup outside. Here you will be handed your maps and timing dibber. All events start by the transition at 10am with MTBO being started in 30s intervals soon after.  Remember a pen to mark up your maps! There will be some entries on the day available for a £5 admin fee.

Parking, There is hard standing parking over 2 areas near to the cricket field, event signage will direct you towards these. Please park efficiently.

Train, The nearest train station is Gomshall or Chilworth, both less than a 3 mile cycle from the venue. Do check that there are no rail replacements on your journey and allow extra time!

Baggage can be left at your own risk within the Cricket Club or next to your spot in Transition.  We are the only ones in the building. Your car is close by for any valuables.

We can lable and look after your keys at Registration if required.

Tea and Cakes, There will be the usual cakes, hot drinks and soup for sale to enjoy while you plan your route and then when you return.  There will also be hot soup to look forward to on your return.

Presentations to those who score the highest points in each catagory on the day will be made shortly after all the results are in.

Next Events, The next event after Albury is the Mickleham Adventure Race on Sunday 8th January in the new year.  Then on Sunday 5th February is the Thurlsey Adventure Race.  More information about the Bentley Copse Adventure event can be found on the event page here.

Results, photos and race report will be on our results page soon after the event. We would love to see you share some of your images on the day using the #triadventure and #remember

Adventure Racing tips will be coming to our Youtube Channel, tip #001 is useful for sticking those bike numbers to your seatposts. Please rememebr to subscribe.

I look forward to seeing you there,

Yours in Adventuring,

Adam
