Knitting Again
Welcome New Subscribers!
I've spent the week knitting - every chance I get. The past couple of years I was taking classes, so my time was limited. As soon as I finished my last class, I started concentrating on preparing for the tour.  Now that the tour is finished, I have time to knit - at least for a little while.
And it's a good thing, since my stash has been growing faster than I can keep up with it.  I just started a project with yarn I purchased on our trip to Tokyo. I'll post the specifics on Ravelry soon.
Thinking about Ravelry brings me back to reality.  I can't just spend all my time knitting.  I have a website to maintain, a part-time job to keep up with, and a house to clean...and I really should update my Ravelry account.
This week of concentrating on knitting was a pleasure, though; it was like a relaxing vacation after my working vacation. Next week I'll work on updating the website and begin the fall housecleaning, but until then I'm going to keep knitting. We all deserve a break now and then.  I hope you get yours, too.

Quote of the Week - 30 September 2016

“...it is pure potential. Every ball or skein of yarn holds something inside it, and the great mystery of what that might be can be almost spiritual”

Paris Yarn Shops Update  - Plus Fabric Shop Info

About a year ago I wrote about the yarn shops I visited when my husband and I were in Paris.  Since that time, I have heard about several other shops.  I tried to visit them while I was in Paris for the tour, so now I am writing to update the list.  I also decided to add a little about the fabric district.

Paris Yarn Shops

Update:  I visited more shops in September 2016.  Read the update here.

On my recent trip to Paris, I thought I’d check out the yarn shops.  I’ve been knitting for a few years now and I always like to see what kind of yarn is available in places that I visit.

I looked on the internet for Paris yarn shops.  I hoped to find a nice listing of all the shops, but all I found were a few blogs listing the bloggers’ favorites.  After piecing together information from several websites, I set out to see what I could find.

The first shop I went to was Pierre Huguet & Cie Ets.  Once I got my bearings after coming out of the Metro, the shop wasn’t too hard to find.  The only problem was that...
