Welcome New Subscribers!
Two of my sisters are at my house today.  One was here yesterday and the other one is staying until tomorrow.  We are supposed to be working on our scrapbooks, but I have just been knitting.  Maybe I'll do some scrapbooking this afternoon.
Several years ago my sisters and I started getting together for a few days around our birthdays.  My birthday was this week, so I am hosting - shouldn't they be hosting me?  We might do it a little backwards, but it all evens out in the end.  I do know that we all enjoy getting together throughout the year for our girl time.
We all have vacations coming up, so some of us have been working a little on the plans.  We've made a few hotel reservations and talked about itineraries.  I wish I could tag along on everyone's trips, but I'll have to settle for talking about their plans and looking through their scrapbooks.
Enjoy the posts this week. Feel free to share the newsletter with your

Scrapbooking

My sisters are coming to my house this weekend for a scrapbook party.  I started thinking about what I would work on – of course, it will be my scrapbook about our trip to Tokyo.  I love reminiscing about the other trips I’ve taken by paging through the memories that exist between two covers.

I started scrapbooking years ago....

Castles Along the Rhine

A cruise along the Rhine River in Germany, from Koblenz to Bingen, will reveal over twenty-five castles or castle ruins.  Some of them allow visitors, while others can only be viewed from the river.

Three castles that I find most interesting are the Marksburg Castle, the Rheinfels Castle Ruins and Burg Reichenstein.

The Marksburg Castle near the north end of this stretch of the river claims to be the only one that was never attacked.  The castle has been rebuilt and remodeled over the years.  Touring this castle, you will see evidence of parts that were built in different eras...
