Hemmer Supports Mazak with Addition by Subtraction

Sometimes, the best way to increase capacity might be to first reduce it. Mazak Corp. recently asked Paul Hemmer Company to assist in the demolition of one of its early campus structures and replace it with a building addition aimed at improving efficiency and capacity. The project included the demolition of a 15,000 sq. ft., 1970’s era structure that is being replaced with a 26,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility. The building will be ready for occupancy in early 2020.  

Strategic Capital’s Springdale Commerce Park Moving Forward

The grass might not like it, but construction crews are enjoying the dry weather at Strategic Capital Partner’s Hemmer-built development in Springdale, Ohio. Springdale Commerce Park, a speculative industrial development that will ultimately include 1.1 million sq. ft. of Class A industrial space, will be available for occupancy in December. Phase I includes two buildings totaling 576,800 sq. ft. of space—a 369,600 sq. ft. cross-docked distribution center with 32’ clear height and a 207,200 sq. ft., rear-loaded distribution center with 28’ clear height.

Precast Walls Help CA Industrial Project Progress Quickly

One of the benefits of precast construction is the speed with which the structure progresses. Three weeks prior to this photograph, there was just a building pad at Hemmer’s construction project for CA Industrial in Hebron, Kentucky. CA Industrial selected Hemmer to design and build its first industrial building in the Greater Cincinnati market. The building will be completed in December.

Welcome Cody Kahmann

Cody Kahmann has joined Paul Hemmer Company as a co-op. Cody is a senior at Northern Kentucky University, where he is studying construction management. His goal is to become a project manager focusing on the nonresidential market. Cody is a graduate of Walton-Verona High School. 

Hemmer Legacy Includes Local Schools

John M. Hemmer Construction Company was the builder of the Campbell County High School in 1962. This photo was taken during construction of the gymnasium in April 1962. The building now serves as the Campbell County Middle School.
