Thursday- LGBTQIA65+ Equality at Every Age: Elder Abuse webinar

Around 40 per cent of people living in Australian aged care facilities experience emotional or physical abuse and/or neglect. However, there is very little reporting on elder abuse specifically related to the abuse of sexuality diverse or gender diverse people.

Julie McCrossin AM moderates a diverse panel of members from the Rainbow community as they explore the particular characteristics and vulnerabilities of older LGBTQIA+ people and talk about real life examples of elder abuse in their community.

A national LGBTI Health Alliance event.
