Sector Updates

Hi all,

First and most importantly today marks the start of NAIDOC Week this year. Take a moment to visit VIC NAIDOC and NAIDOC National to check out the many incredible and important virtual events happening across the land.

Secondly, a big, big thank you to everyone who joined us for our last meeting a couple of weeks ago. We had over 100 people Zoom in, making it the largest and most engaged meeting in our three year Network history. Ash, Matt and I are truly humbled and can't wait to see the impact we can all make together. You'll find the minutes and resources discussed at the last meeting below in the Meeting Debrief section.

Finally we have lots of exciting events coming up in this week and month that you're going to wanna jump on Zoom for, including the launch of Private Lives 3 (which includes unprecedented data around LGBTIQ experiences of family violence), a new Rainbow Tick Community of Practice and more! Check out our Events section below.

Stay safe everyone!

With kind regards,

Rainbow Tick Community of Practice- 25th November

A Rainbow Tick Community of Practice session is being held on the 25th of November at 10am online. This session will focus on common questions around starting the Rainbow Tick accreditation process (such as "How long will it take?" "How much does it cost?" and "Where do we start?").

QIP (the accreditation body who provide Rainbow Tick assessments) will present and answer any questions.

These sessions, run by Rainbow Health Victoria, are free and open to people from any organisation, at any point in a journey towards LGBTIQ inclusion. Previous sessions have focussed on different Rainbow Tick Standards and frequently asked Accreditation journey questions.
