Sector Updates

Hi all,

Our next Service in the Spotlight on Thursday 4 November is fast approaching, where we will be hearing from the LGBTIQ+ Liaison Officers at Victoria Police about updates to their LGBTIQ+ Liaison Officer Program.

Also, if you missed our last Service in the Spotlight event, we heard from the amazing workers in the Family Violence Restorative Justice Team. You can check out the recording in next week's newsletter.

Please be sure to join us next Thursday, and look out for your next QFVSN Monthly Sector Updates Newsletter next week.
Warm regards,

Service in the Spotlight: Victoria Police LGBTIQ+ Liaison Officer Program

When: Thursday 4th November 2:00 pm
Where: Zoom

The Queer Family Violence Sector Network hosts a series called "Service in the Spotlight", which showcases services and programs that are relevant to the LGBTQ+ family violence sector, in an effort to build better referral pathways within the sector.

This latest short webinar will feature the Jeremy from the LGBTIQ+ Liaison Officer Program at Victoria Police. Victoria Police have appointed a number of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer liaison officers (LGBTIQ+ Liaison Officers) across the state. The LGBTIQ+ Liaison Officers (LLO) Mission Statement is to contribute to the creation of mutual trust between police, lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender and intersex persons so they have increasing confidence in police through the provision of fair and equitable policing service.

Join us to hear more about the LGBTIQ+ Liaison Officer Program, and ask any questions you may have about the Program.
