John Spears is a Chicago native who initially majored in music performance. Spears later chose a degree in musicology with an emphasis on late tsarist Russia. He then earned a master’s degree in library and information science and was hired by the St. Louis County Library before taking the reins at the Pikes Peak Library District in 2016. The entrance to Knights of Columbus Hall is located in the Northwest corner of the Penrose Library Campus Parking lot.
