Hello BBQ Lovers! 
I hope you all had a great holiday weekend! 

The pertinent details for those in a hurry:
👍🏽RE BBQ will be OPEN on Thursday, 7/7 from 3:00 until 7:00PM
👍🏽RE BBQ will be OPEN on Friday, 7/8 from 3:00 until 7:00PM.


The rumors are true! The big BBQ Trailer is for sale! 
 Short story is: I need to downsize. DO NOT PANIC! RE BBQ isn't going out of business and I'll continue to cook and serve the food you love as usual for the time being. Later on down the road, I'll do it a little less often and a little more specialized, because I'm keeping The BEAST (My smoker on wheels) and I own plenty of other BBQ gear. 

Why the sale? Well as you know from frequent sell outs, business is good, but my body tells me I'm too old to keep up these 12 hour days, so I'd like to move this big aluminum kitchen on wheels to another fiery food service entrepreneur looking to grow their business the way I was able to.

Lifetime W-Frame folding Picnic Table for sale: I have more tables than I can use, so I'd like to thin the herd. This is a heavy duty model advertised for $300 at wallyworld.  $145 makes it yours. Own a piece of histo-RE! 🤣🤣


BYOB is A-OK at RE BBQ: If Coke, Diet Coke or Water ain't your thing, you are welcome to bring your own beverages from Drifter, Urbanrest, 9 & Hilton Market, or where-ever you get your libations. There is a bucket for refundable bottles & cans next to the patio exit. Non-refundable containers go in the trash. 

News from the back of the house:
Post holiday chaos at the warehouses and grocery stores, but I did manage to get everything I needed for a second week in a row, though it took a few extra trips this time. I won't go so far as to say things are returning to normal in food service supply world, but they do seem to be stable, so that's nice.

A fair amount of "little things" are missing and maybe never to be seen again, prices are high and quality on the meats is more miss than hit - but that's BBQ for ya - the art of turning "lead" into "gold". It has at least been consistent. 


Sorry, NO CATERING! 
I am deeply flattered that you would consider RE BBQ to provide food for your special event, but catering is not a service RE BBQ provides.  I hope your party goes great no matter who feeds it, though!

Enough of the restaurant administrivia, here is this week's eats!

The Menu for THURSDAY, 7/7/22:
Thursday's SPECIAL:
Motor City Cheese Steak Bowl - This was so fantastic the first time, I'm excited to make it again. Smoked gyro, sausage and beef chuck, piled onto sliced onions and green peppers and covered with tangy cheese sauce and a mix of shredded cheeses. Comes with a special mustard bourbon BBQ sauce and a side of garlic butter roasted potatoes.
The humidity is destroying all the good breads, so RE're skipping the roll this time. Grab your fork.   


Thursday's MEATS:
1/2 lb Sliced Kielbasa - beef & pork kielbasa sliced and smoked. tray.
1/2 lb Pulled Pork - dry rubbed, slow smoked pork shoulder. tray or sandwich.
1/2 lb Beef Brisket - dry rubbed, slow smoked brisket.  tray or sandwich.

Thursday's SIDES:
BBQ Beans - seasoned white, navy & pinto beans with onions and BBQ Sauce.
Garlic Parm Hominy - Hominy (white corn), garlic, butter and Parmesan Cheese. 
Cheetos - You know what a cheeto is.
Doritos Dinamita - Exactly like Takis Fuego, but in a green bag.



The Menu for FRIDAY, 7/8/22:
Friday's SPECIAL:
Orange Beef - Ginger / Garlic rubbed beef chuck, cubed and smoked then served over rice with a ginger, orange & soy based bbq sauce, orange slices, scallions and fresh jalapeños along with a side of garlic-almond green beans. 

Friday's MEATS:

If you show up at 5 minutes before closing time, be prepared for limited selection.
