Hello BBQ Lovers! 
Sorry to ruin some dinner plans last week, but boy howdy was that 5 fiscal days of Michigan Miserable hot and sticky. I'm glad I stayed home and rode it out in air conditioned comfort. 😁

The pertinent details for those in a hurry:

👍🏽RE BBQ will be OPEN on Friday, 7/29 from 3:00 until 7:00PM.


I've got a hankering for comfort foods this week...
 So summer weather comfort cuisines are on the menu to feed that craving, thanks to influences from Hawaii and New Orleans, ya know - to mix it up. 😁

News from the back of the house:
Wholesale and retail pricing still sucks, but with gas prices rdropping, RE'll see the pricing on raw materials start to drop. Big hunks of meat like the stuff I buy tends to go up and down from week to week just like fuel prices. Retail processed foods on the other hand probably won't get cheaper for another fiscal quarter. It is what it is. 🤷🏼‍♂️

The rumors are true! The big BBQ Trailer is for sale! 😱
Short story is: I need to downsize. DO NOT PANIC! RE BBQ isn't going out of business, and I'll continue to cook and serve the food you love as usual for the time being. 👍🏽 Later on down the road, I'll do it a little less often and a little more specialized, because I'm keeping The BEAST (My smoker on wheels) and I own plenty of other BBQ gear. 

Why the sale? Well as you know from frequent sell outs, business is good, but my body tells me I'm too old to keep up these 12 hour days, so I'd like to move this big aluminum kitchen on wheels to another fiery food service entrepreneur looking to grow their business the way I was able to.

I am deeply flattered that you would consider RE BBQ to provide food for your special event, but catering is not a service RE BBQ provides.  I hope your party goes great no matter who feeds it, though!

Enough of the restaurant administrivia, here is this week's eats!

The Menu for THURSDAY, 7/28/22:
Thursday's SPECIAL:
Loco RE-Moco - Hawaii's number one all season any time go-to comfort food. I'm going to do it a little differently because I can - smoked ground beef loaded onto a bed of sweet rice with a mushroom, onion and beef gravy, topped with pulled pork and green onions and a cup of special BBQ sauce to tang it up if you so choose. No separate side for this one, just a big tray of meaty yum!

Thursday's MEATS:
1/2 lb Sliced Kielbasa - beef & pork kielbasa sliced and smoked. tray.
1/2 lb Pulled Pork - dry rubbed, slow smoked pork shoulder. tray or sandwich.
1/2 lb Beef Brisket - dry rubbed, slow smoked brisket.  tray or sandwich.

Thursday's SIDES:
BBQ Beans - seasoned white, navy & pinto beans with onions and BBQ Sauce.
Cheesed Off Taters - Roasted potatoes, onions, cheese sauce, shredded cheese. 
Cheetos - You know what a cheeto is.
Doritos Dinamita - Exactly like Takis Fuego, but in a green bag.



The Menu for FRIDAY, 7/29/22:
Friday's SPECIAL:
Pork Belly Jambalaya - OMG do I ever love me some Jambalaya. It starts as any good Creole recipe does, with the "holy trtinity" of green peppers, celery and onion, tomato, garlic, okra, herbs and spices. I'll load that rich and magical stewed vegetable medley onto savory rice and top it off with smoked pork belly, chorizo and green onions. A cup of Frank's red hot to go with, as nature intended. Like Thursday, no separate side for this one, just a big tray of YUM!

Friday's MEATS:

If you show up at 5 minutes before closing time, be prepared for limited selection.
