Professor and program director Sakiko Fukuda-Parr will be presenting at today's launch of the Palgrave Handbook of Development Economics, hosted by Columbia SIPA. Sakiko co-wrote a chapter of the book with NSSR Student Ismael Cid Martinez on Capability Approach & Human Development. 
For those interested in attending, the event takes place from 5-7 PM at the Kellogg Center, 420 West 118th St. Room 1501.

Sean Jacobs was recently profiled in Folha de Sao Paulo, Brazil's leading newspaper. The piece focused on how leftists in the US and Africa view political developments in Brazil. Africa is a Country was described as "probably the most important platform for information and analysis on Africa outside the continent today."
